The Cangle Foyer in Haverhill provides safe and secure supported housing provision for young, single adults (16 - 25) who are in need of accommodation, have low support needs and have a connection with the St Edmundsbury local authority area. The scheme has 21 cluster rooms and 10 self-contained 'move on' flats. The scheme is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The scheme provides an in-house training and activities programme run by our own specialist staff. Those residents not employed or attending external education services must attend our in house programme in order to remain at the scheme. The scheme has controlled access and CCTV. There is a pool table, PC with scanner, copier, printer and a table tennis table in the main foyer area along with internet access during supervised activity sessions. There are laundry facilities on site and all local amenities are only a few minutes walk away from the scheme.
 

Cluster Rooms

Weekly charge is £169.61, including heating and lighting. These units are let on licences and can be let on any day Monday through to Friday. Most rooms have an en suite shower room and all are equipped with a bed, table, easy chair, chest of drawers, built in wardrobe and fridge. Bedding and kitchen items are also provided. Each cluster has a large communal lounge with TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Two of the rooms meet disability standards. The maximum occupancy period is 2 years.

Move on flats

Weekly charge is £90.30 These flats are generally used as move on accomodation for residents who have progressed through the Foyer programme. Occasionally they are available to external applicants. The flats are let on Assured Shorthold Tenancies for an initial period of 6 months, renewable up to a maximum stay of 2 years. The flats are all split level, some with 'gallery style' bedrooms. Each flat has a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom and is equipped with a bed, table, built in wardrobe, cooker, and fridge. In certain circumstances 'starter packs' may be available.
